I am unsure why every one is so down on Apples announcement today. I mean was it that unexpected they would do an incremental update? You’re the asshole for buying into the rumor mill, not Apple. I think it’s a pretty nice update to the iPhone. Especially for people coming into the space for the first time.
To those people complaining about the features added to iOS 5 to Android, which yes has had some of them for a while, like always Apple will take those features and implement them correctly, unlike Android. And to those who get all pissy about the features being implemented in the first place, shut up. Really, this kind of exchange happens all the time. Companies are stealing from each other left and right. It’s a verifiable fact the Mr. Rubin worked at Apple while developing some very familiar API’s that Android is using. Isn’t there a law suit?
Android is like that girl you see at the bar. She’s a little skanky but looks like fun. You think to yourself “Hey I bet she’s willing to try new things, I’m gonna chat her up” It’s only when it’s too late that you realize she’s a totally batshit crazy nutbag who can’t keep her shit together. She’s bipolar to a new level. She’s up like a fool then she crashes hard and won’t start up in the morning. Plus her roots on that sleek black hair are always growing out. Everyone likes her at first, she has great party tricks. But they wear out fast and she’s damn near impossible to get rid of without some kind of payment.
The iPhone is the cute geeky girl sitting in your corner coffee shop that you want to talk to so bad but won’t because you know you’ll screw it up and this is one you don’t want to screw up. You’ll finally chat her up. You find out she’s down to earth and she gets along with everyone. She’s got great style and taste. She’s the girl you take home to your mum and they get on like pals from the 3rd grade. She’s stable, and got a great job with medical insurance so if something goes wrong she’s got it covered. She is your best friend that everyone loves. She may not be around forever but while she is you enjoy every damn moment.
